In The Garden
I come to the garden alone
While the dew is still on the roses;
And the voice I hear,
Falling on my ear
The Son of God discloses.
And He walks with me
And He talks with me
And He tells me I am His own;
And the joy we share as we tarry there
None other has ever known.
He speaks, and the sound of His voice
Is so sweet the birds hush their singing;
And the melody that He gave to me
Within my heart is ringing.
Panis Angelicus
(from the Sacris Solemniis,13th Century,
St. Thomas Aquinas)
Panis Angelicus Fit panis hominum;
Dat panis coelicus Figuris terminum
O res mirabilis! Manducat Dominum.
Pauper, pauper, Servus et humilis.
Te trina Deitas unaque poscimus,
Sic nos tu visita, sicut te colimus:
Per tuas semitas duc nos quo tendimus,
Ad lucem quam inhab-itas.

Translation
The Bread of Angels becomes
the Bread of men; The Bread from
heaven does away with figures:
O wondrous thing, the poor,
the servant, and the lowly
eat their Lord.
O God, one substance in
Three Persons, we beseech You,
come to visit us, as we adore You:
guide us on Your paths whither
we direct our course, to the light
wherein You do dwell.

Amazing Grace
Amazing grace, how sweet the sound
That saved a wretch like me
I once was lost, but now am found
Was blind, but now I see.
Twas grace that taught my heart to fear
And grace my fears relieved
How precious did that grace appear
The hour I first believed!
Through many dangers, toils and snares
I have already come
Tis grace hath brought me safe thus far
And grace will lead me home.
When weve been there ten thousand years
Bright shining as the sun
Weve no less days to sing Gods praise
Than when wed first begun.
The Lords Prayer
Our Father, who art in heaven,
Hallowed be Thy Name.
Thy kingdom come.
Thy will be done on earth
As it is in heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread.
And forgive us our debts,
As we forgive our debtors.
And lead us not into temptation;
But deliver us from evil:
For Thine is the kingdom, and the power,
and the glory, for ever.
Amen.
On Eagles Wings
You who dwell in the shelter of the Lord,
Who abide in His shadow for life,
Say to the Lord: My refuge,
my Rock in whom I trust!
And He will raise you up on eagles wings
Bear you on the breath of dawn,
Make you to shine like the sun,
And hold you in the palm of his hand.
You need not fear the terror of the night,
Nor the arrow that flies by day;
Though thousands fall about you
Near you it shall not come.
For to His angels Hes given a command
To guard you in all of your ways;
Upon their hands they will bear you up,
Lest you dash your foot against a stone. |

Ave Maria
Ave Maria! Jungfrau mild,
erhohre einer Jungfrau Flehen,
aus diesem Felsen starr und wild,
soll mein Gebet zu dir hin wehen.
Wir schlafen sicher bis zum Morgen,
ob Menschen noch so grausam sind.
O Jungfrau, sieh der Jungfrau Sorgen,
O, Mutter, hor ein bittend Kind!
Ave Maria! Unbefleckt!
Wenn wir auf diesen Fels hinsinken
zum Schlaf, und uns dein Schutz bedeckt,
wird weich der harte Fels uns dunken.
Du lachelst, Rosendufte wehen
in dieser dumpfen Felsenkluft;
O, Mutter, hor des Kindes Flehen,
O, Jungfrau, eine Jungfrau ruft!
How Great Thou Art
Oh, Lord my God!
When I in awesome wonder
Consider all the worlds Thy hands have made,
I see the stars, I hear the rolling thunder,
Thy power throughout the universe displayed;
When through the woods
And forest glades I wander
And hear the birds sing sweetly in the trees;
When I look down from lofty mountain grandeur
And hear the brook and feel the gentle breeze;
When Christ shall come
With shout of acclamation
And take me home, what joy shall fill my heart!
Then I shall bow in humble adoration
And there proclaim, My God How Great Thou Art!

Hail Mary! Maiden Mild!
Oh listen to a maidens prayer,
For thou canst hear tho from the wild,
and thou canst save amid despair,
Safe may we sleep beneath thy care
Tho banished outcast and reviled,
Oh, maiden hear a maidens prayer
Oh mother, hear a suppliant child!
Hail Mary! Undefiled!
The flinty couch we now must share,
Shall seem with down of eider piled
If thy, if thy protection hover there.
The murky caverns heavy air
Shall breathe of balm if thou hast smiled;
Then, maiden hear a maidens prayer.
Oh mother, hear a suppliant child. |

Lady of Knock
There were people of all ages, gathered round the gable wall
Poor and humble men and women, little children that you called,
We are gathered here before you, and our hearts are just the same,
Filled with joy at such a vision, as we praise your name.
Golden Rose, Queen of Ireland,
All my cares and troubles cease.
As we kneel with love before you,
Lady of Knock, my Queen of Peace.
Oh your message was unspoken, but the truth in silence lies.
So I gaze upon your vision, and the truth I try to find.
Here I stand with John the teacher, and with Joseph at your side.
And I see the lamb of God on the altar glorified.
And the Lamb will conquer and the woman clothed in the sun
Will shine her light on everyone.
And the lamb will conquer and the woman clothed in the sun
Will shine her light on everyone.
Peace In The Valley
I am tired and weary, but I must toil on,
Till the Lord comes to call me away;
Where the morning is bright
And the Lamb is the light
And the night is as fair as the day.
Therell be peace in the valley for me someday,
Therell be peace in the valley for me,
I pray no more sorrow and sadness or trouble will be,
Therell be peace in the valley for me.
There the flowers will be blooming, the grass will be green;
And the skies will be clear and serene;
The sun ever shines, giving one endless beam,
And no clouds there will ever be seen.
There the bear will be gentle, the wolf will be tame,
And the lion will lay down by the lamb;
The host from the wild will be led by a child,
Ill be changed from the creature I am.
Irish Blessing
May the road rise up to meet you
May the wind be always at your back
May the sun shine warm upon your face
And the rains fall soft upon your fields.
Until we meet again, my friend
Until we meet again.
May God hold you in the palm of his hand.
Ave Maria
Ave Maria gratia plena
Dominus tecum.
Benedicta tu in mulieribus
et benedictus fructus ventris tui,
Jesus.
Sancta Maria, Mater Dei
ora pro nobis peccatoribus.
Nunc et in hora mortis nostrae.
Ave Maria.
Hail Mary, full of grace,
the Lord is with thee.
Blessed art thou amongst women
and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus.
Holy Mary, Mother of God,
pray for us sinners,
now, and in the hour of our death.
Abide With Me
Abide with me,
Fast falls the eventide.
The darkness deepens;
Lord, with me abide.
When other helpers fail
And comforts flee,
Help of the helpless,
Oh, abide with me.
Swift to it's close
Ebbs out life's little day;
Earth's joys grow dim,
It's glories pass away;
Change and decay
In all around I see;
O thou who changest not,
Abide with me.
I need thy presence
Every passing hour;
What but thy grace
Can foil the tempter's power?
Who like thyself
My guide and stay can be?
Through cloud and sunshine
Oh, abide with me.
Hold thou thy cross
Before my closing eyes,
Shine through the gloom,
And point me to the skies;
Heav'n's morning breaks,
And earth's vain shadows flee;
In life, in death,
O Lord, abide with me.
